What is FCK Cancer?
FCK Cancer is a volunteer-supported fundraising foundation, based in Oliver, BC, that raises money and awareness for people going through cancer treatment. It was started by breast cancer survivor Linda Corscadden, and every dollar raised goes to the Care & Comforts program at the BC Cancer Foundation, supporting children and families receiving treatment.
Where does the money go?
All money raised goes to the Care & Comforts program at the BC Cancer Foundation. It supports children and families receiving treatment, and pays for wigs, blankets, infusion pumps, chemo chairs, transportation for patients, supplies for children such as colouring books and crayons, and counselling for patients and their families. Each year Linda is given a list of items to choose from.
Does any of the money go to cancer research?
No, FCK Cancer funds do not go towards research. The money goes to practical care and comfort for patients and families through the BC Cancer Foundation.
How much has FCK Cancer raised?
FCK Cancer has raised $100,271.13 to date for the Care & Comforts program. Photos of the cheque presentations, going back to 2010, are in the gallery.
Who started FCK Cancer, and why?
Linda Corscadden started FCK Cancer after her own breast cancer diagnosis. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer on June 3, 2008, and finished chemotherapy on December 16, 2008. A friend’s words, “Journey on, my friend,” became a poem and then a song, and Linda realised she wanted to be the person she had needed when she first heard her diagnosis.

Possibly: if you have an upcoming event you think would be a good fit for FCK Cancer, email fckcancer@telus.net. Linda travels throughout British Columbia to markets, festivals and fundraisers.
Where can I buy FCK Cancer merchandise?
FCK Cancer merchandise is sold through our online store, which opens in its own tab from the Store link in the menu. Merch purchases support the cause.

How do I donate?

Can I get a tax receipt?
Yes, for donations over $25, and the receipt comes from the BC Cancer Foundation. The BC Cancer Foundation issues receipts after the season, once Linda has handed over all of the money raised, which is usually in October.
Is FCK Cancer a registered charity?
No, FCK Cancer is not a registered charity. It is registered through the BC Cancer Foundation and uses the Foundation’s registration number for tax receipts.
Can I donate in memory or in honour of someone?
Yes, you can donate in memory or in honour of someone. Get in touch with Linda personally.
Can my business sponsor FCK Cancer or host a fundraiser for it?

In the summer of 2026, FCK Cancer was at Gone Country, the OFCC Cancer Fundraiser, the Kelowna Harley Davidson Stunt Show, the Motors & Music Car Show, Mission Raceway Smoke, Fire & Thunder, Wings & Wheels, the Valley West Stampede, the Lords of Gastown Party, the Jim Hubensky Memorial Cruise & BBQ and the Dodger Roundup.
